Krystal Marie Ball

Krystal Marie, born on November 24 1981, is an American political commentator. She was previously a politician, as well as a TV host on MSNBC, a frequent contributor for The Huffington Post, and the co-host of The Hill's Rising along with Saagar Enjeti. Enjeti and Ball made the decision to cancel the show in May 2021. This was necessary for them to release Breaking Points (Krystal and Saagar). Ball is co-host of the podcast Krystal Kyle & Friends. She has made guest appearances on networks like CNN, CNBC, Fox News as well as programs like Real Time with Bill Maher. Ball is currently engaged to Jonathan Dariyanani, as of 2020. Ball attributes her continued fascination with politics to her experience as a new mom during the 2008 primaries. She also followed the US presidential election from Jordan as she was working there. She saw the effects that it had on the citizens of her home country and was inspired to appreciate the international influence of US politics. She was a Senior Fellow at the New Leaders Council. Ball was the Democratic Party candidate for Congress in Virginia's 1st district. She lost to Rob Wittman in 2010. She hosted The Cycle, a MSNBC TV show that she hosted from June 2012 until August 2015. In May of 2017, she founded the People's House Project, a political action committee that works on behalf of Democratic causes.
