She is most well-known for her roles in the role of Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz and Spamalot in the West End. She has won three Olivier Award nominations for her performance. In 2015, she was part of the actors in the fifth season of Game of Thrones. HBO show Game of Thrones as Septa Unella in addition to appearing as an ensemble member on the 2012 film adaptation of Les Miserables and 2018 British psychological thriller Winter Ridge in a primary role. Waddingham is nominated in the Golden Globe Awards.
