Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965), is an American actress. Her role as the main character on the crime drama TNT The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most popular. Sedgwick was awarded two Emmy Awards in 2010 as well as 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. The series ended after its seventh season. Sedgwick is also well-known for her recurring role in the role of Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for an Golden Globe award in 1995 for her role on Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's solos (1992), Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who works as a speech/family therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick, a venture investor. Her mother was Jewish was of English and Episcopalian origins. Sedgwick has announced that she's Jewish and is a part of Passover meal times.
